Belarusian KGB prevents blowing up of monument to Ordzhenikidze

The Belarusian KGB has pronounced an official warning to a Belarusian citizen Alyaksandr Malchanau who had been planning to blow up the monument to Ordzhenikidze in Barysau.
KGB information and public relations centre informed about it. Members of the committee say that materials they obtained during the detention testify to the fact that Malchanau was collecting substances necessary for blowing up the monument to Ordzhenikidze.

He admitted that he had carried out a number of illegal actions before. He poured paint on the monument of remembrance of soldiers who died in World War II. Malchanau was warned about inadmissibility of such actions and about responsibility for them. A protocol of official warning was drawn up.

He was also explained that the protocol would be attached to the criminal case if he committed the crime, reports “Interfax”.
