Belarusian helps Syrians fleeing from Latvia get to Poland from Lithuania

The Syrian citizens (aged 26, 27 and 37) had asked for political asylum in Latvia but fled from the country later. A Belarusian citizen helped them get to Poland from Lithuania, Delfi reports. It is not clear whether he has been detained.

The Syrians were caught by Polish frontier guards who handed them over to their Lithuanian colleagues. Lithuanians retuned the illegal immigrants to Latvia. The incident is being investigated now.
