Belarusian family to be released from Georgian prison soon

A Brest family, Syamyon and Iryna Dzyachoks, has been jailed in Georgia. The husband and wife tried to enter Georgia from Abkhazia on October 21 and were detained for it. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Savihyna has informed ERB that the punishment for entering Abkhazia from the Russian territory could result in 2 or 4 years of imprisonment for the Belarusians. According to Savihyn, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs started trying to solve the problem as soon as it received the information. There are reasons to think that the Belarusians would be released one of these days:

Savіnyh: "We have established contacts and consulted with competent Georgian institutions with the help of diplomatic sources. I’d like to note that Georgia has demonstrated grate constructivism in solving the problem. We are sure that the issue will be solved in the next few days and the Belarusian citizens will be released”.
