Belarusian army to abandon boots and foot wraps
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense
announced that it was going to abandon boots and foot wraps. The announcement
was made at the height of the current draft.
Conscripts will start wearing modern army shoes and socks. The Ministry informs that the change is to take place for hygienic reasons.
For example, the Ukrainian army already abandoned boots and foot wraps in autumn. Belarusian draftees will have to wear them a bit longer because officials from the Ministry of Defense have not set the terms for this change yet.
