Belarus, Russia citizens might enjoy equal rights to medical aid

The Russian parliament, Duma, is expected on February 6 to discuss the ratification of an agreement with Belarus on providing medical assistance to citizens from the two countries.

The agreement, signed in St Petersburg in 2006, envisages equal rights to the citizens from the both countries to enjoy medical assistance. Under the document, citizens of one country who permanently live on the territory of the other country are entitled to medical assistance, including free treatment at the state-sponsored clinics, reports the Russian news agency Ria-Novosti.
