Belarus may compete for possibility to host Hockey Championship 2013 – U.Navumau
Belarus has a good chance to host the Hockey Championship 2013. This idea was pronounced by the head of the national hockey federation Uladzimir Navumau (who doubles as the Minister of Internal Affaires) during an on-line conference at the web site of the Belarusian Broadcasting Company. Mr. Navumau stressed that our country had sent an appeal to host the competition.
The other five countries competing for the possibility to host the World Championship 2013 are Russia, Latvia, Sweden, Montenegro and Czechia. The first selection tour will take place on August 16-17 – only three out of six appeals will remain. They will be considered in Vancouver (Canada) on September 25-27.
The head of the national hockey federation noted that they will do everything possible to host the championship. “If we do not succeed we will automatically resend the appeal for 2014”, - claimed Mr. Navumau.
