Belarus makes money on foreign hunters

Belarus has become No 3 country in Europe by the number of foreign hunters that visited our nation. Russia and Hungary top the list.
Belarusian deputy forestry minister Mikalai Yushkevich said only 15 percent of hunters visit Belarus for "shooting and trophies". In most cases, they prefer resting at hunting camps.

According to the deputy minister, Belarus earned nearly $2 million on foreign hunters in 2008. Additional $5 million were spent by Belarusian hunting amateurs, reports Interfax-Zapad
