Belarus, Israel might introduce visa-free regime

Belarus and Israel might introduce a visa-free regime for cross-border travel after the experimental visa-free regime between Israel and Russia expires on September 20, 2009, Israeli tourism minister Stas Misezhnikov said during his visit to Belarus. The Interfax news agency reports that a bilateral Belarus-Israeli agreement on cooperation in the tourism sector was signed in Minsk. Misezhnikov also said that Israelis are interested in three types of tourism in Belarus: forest, health and nostalgic. "Migrantas from Belarus who now live in Belarus will be interested in visiting Jewish sites and towns", the minister stressed.
