Belarus has the highest number of taxes

Belarus has been ranked at the first position as the country with the highest number of taxes and duties in the world, according to the Doing Business 2008 report by the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation. Uzbekistan was the leader in this nomination last year, but abolished 12 taxes, thus making it second after Belarus this year. China cut taxes down to 33 from 44, while Russia reduced the number of duties from 23 to 22. Even in Venezuela, there are only 70 taxes, reports the Agency of Financial News
