Belarus factory to assemble trucks in Venezuela

Belarus and Venezuela are in talks over the launch of an assembly line by the Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ) in this South African nation, MAZ Technical Director Aliaksandr Rakamasin today told reporters. He said that MAZ CEO is currently in Venezuela to push on with negotiations.

Rakamsin said that it was still hard to say what number of trucks could be assembled in Venezuela. The plan was to produce from 3000 to 20,000 trucks per year, but no final decision has been made yet.
