Belarus election 2020: More people vote early than in 2015

12.75% of voters came to the polls during two days of early voting (4.98% on Day One), the Central Election Commission has said. This is more than the turnout in the first two days of presidential elections in 2015 — 10.94% (4.49% on Day One).

Geographically, the Homiel region is leading with 16.44% of turnout during early voting. The Hrodna region has 10.01%, while the turnout in Minsk was 11.73%.

Independent election observers have reported 2500 violations on the first day of early voting.

The Election Day is on August 9.
