Belarus diaspora stages "March of Repressed People" in NY

Some representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in New York on July 15 staged an action titled the March of the Repressed People.
Around 40 activists walked on the streets of America's biggest city, carrying white-red-white flags in their hands. The action was organized by the Belarusian-American Union and the Union of the Belasrusian Youth in America.

Famous politician Zyanon Paznyak who had to seek refuge in the US 10 years ago was noticed among the action's participants. The organizers said they received a welcome letters from the NY's City Hall and the administration of the New York State.

Speakers focused on the importance of Belarus's independence and the promotion of the Belarusian language.
