Belarus to apply for Euro-2020
Head of the Belarusian Football Federation Syarhei Rumas has informed about it.
The European football championship 2020 will not be hosted by one country, it will be held in different major cities of the continent, the UEFA executive committee announced in December 2012. Matches will be played in 13 European cities that will be chosen later. It will be possible to apply for it by September. Amsterdam, Athens, Basel, Brussels, Zagreb, Lisbon, London, Moscow, Madrid, Paris, Rome and Istanbul are already on the list.
Minsk will be able to host a few matches of the continental championship, Belarusian President’s aide for physical culture, sport and tourism Maksim Ryzhankou thinks. The reconstructed stadium Dynama will be ready by 2020. He thinks that it would be a great present for Belarusians, tut.by reports.
