Bank employee steals 1 billion rubles of pension deposits

An employee of a Bykhau bank branch stole more than 1 billion rubles of pension deposits. The 45-year-old woman worked as a retail banking services officer. Being  responsible for finances, she drafted and concluded deposit agreements on behalf of the bank. The woman had information about the availability of funds in the depositors' accounts. She forged expendable cash orders and took other people's money. This took place from July 2005 through May 2014.

As BelTA reports, at the time of investigation law enforcement officers revealed numerous cases of fraud. Incidentally, she received money from the people, but the did not open bank accounts and left money for herself. Among those affected are 16 people, mostly retired citizens.

A criminal case was opened against the former bank employee under the articles  - 'grand larceny', 'repeated fraud', 'large scale theft.' The woman was taken into custody. The case was sent to court.
