Attorney General suggests introducing stricter punishment for bribe givers
The Belarusian Attorney General Ryhor Vasilevich thinks that bribe givers do not get punished the same as briber takes do. In his opinion, the punishment for bribe givers should be made stricter.
“People are usually imprisoned for up to 10 years for taking big bribes. However, according to the law, the term can reach 15 years”, - noted Ryhor Vasilevich.
The General Prosecutor also noted that people accused of wide-scale corruption and bribery should not be amnestied, informs BelTA.
