Another earthquake in Nepal: 60 killed, over 1100 injured (video)

Three earthquakes hit Nepal on May 12 killing at least 42 people. 17 people were killed in India and one person died in Tibet.

According to seismologists, the epicentre was 68 km away from Namche Bazar in the east of Nepal, close to the Chinese border and Mount Everest. The earthquake centre was 18.5 km below the surface and the magnitude was 7.3. A 6.3-magnitude earthquake followed 30 minutes later.

A lot of buildings collapsed in Chautara (to the east of Kathmandu) and there are people under the debris, the International Migration Organization reports. Several bodies have already been found. The area was hit by avalanches.

 The third earthquake hit the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The magnitude was 5.3. There is no information about possible victims.

The tremors could be felt in Kathmandu, India and even in Bangladesh.
