Angela Merkel meets Milinkevich

German Cancellor Angela Merkel has met with Alexander Milinkeivich, the leader of For Feedom movement. Milinkevich's press office reports that the meeting took place on September 17 in Berlin after the international conference on human rights. Milinkevich told Merkel about his vision of the situaion in Belarus and also called on the European Union and Germany to carry out "an active moral and flexible policy towards Belarus".

Adressing the conference, Angela Merkel noted that she believed the resolution of the human rights problem in Belarus was a priority for Europe.
