Minsk anarchists have thrown electric bulbs filled with paint at the building of Frunzenski District Housing Maintenance Office #2 in protest against a never-ending increase in utility costs, revbel.org reports.

"The Ministry of Housing and Communal Services keeps increasing utility costs without improving their quality. The costs are increasing against the drop in wages and price growth in all spheres of life,” anarchists said.

Belarusians are always told that they underpay for utilities but the public has no control over the housing and communal services which allows officials to justify the increase of tariffs. Yet, the Minister of Housing and Communal Services Tserahau cannot even say what percent of the state’s expenses on the utilities Belarusians do cover.

Anarchists have urged to boycott utility bills.
