Alyaksandr Makaeu: Entrepreneurs are in a battle mood
Another action of private entrepreneurs will start in Minsk at 12 p.m. on Monday, February 18. Some leaders suggest installing tents at Kastrychnitskaya square.
That is what one of the leaders of the entrepreneurs’ movement Alyaksandr Makayeu said in an interview with ERB:
“People are in a battle mood, but regional leaders of entrepreneurs are afraid they will not be allowed to leave for Minsk… They are being watched. There will probably be detentions and blocking. I am still free and it is strange. There used to be preventive detentions and we had to hide”.
According to Makayeu, many entrepreneurs have been informed about the action but there are people who know neither about it nor about the previous actions. Some people have been intimidated so it won’t be a mass action, thinks Makayeu. However, tents may make the action on February 18 differ from the previous ones.
Alyaksandr Makayeu:
“The authorities know that we wanted to install tents on January 10 and 21. None of the leaders announced it. And people said there was no order to do it. I hope that my idea of installing tents at the square will be announced. Even if I’m blocked”.
