Alyaksandr Lukashenka ratifies protocol on oil supplies in Belarus

Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on the terms of oil supplies to Belarus and its transit across the territory of our country in 2010 was been ratified by Alyaksandr Lukashenka on Friday. Thus, the protocol has come into power. Let us remind you that the Russian State Duma ratified the protocol on oil supplies to Belarus on February 12.  436 deputies voted “pro”, one person abstained and nobody voted “contra”, notes BelTA.

The protocol was ratified in Moscow on January 27 after a few rounds of complicated negotiations of the first vice Prime Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Syamashka and the Russian vice Prime Minister Igor Sechin. Belarus and Russia agreed on the supplies of 6.3 million tons of duty-free oil for domestic use to our country.
