Alyaksandr Kazulіn demands vindication and compensation of 2 million euro

Alyaksandr Kazulіn has demanded that the Belarusian authorities should vindicate him and release Andrei Kim and an entrepreneur Syarhei Parsyukevich.  In his opinion, it will testify to the fact that the authorities are really on the way to democratization. It is said in the appeal distributed by the politician’s press service.

"A consider my release a sign of justice but I cannot accept the pardon due to my moral appeal – I did not commit any crime”, - said Alyaksandr Kazulin.

At the same time, the politician’s daughter Volha Kazulina and his former lawyer Ihar Rynkevich have sent an appeal to the UN human rights commission asking to vindicate the former political prisoner.

Ihar Rynkevich told ERB that the document contained information about violations of the international treaty on civil and political rights committed against Alyaksandr Kazulin.

“Alyaksandr Kazulіn does not plead guilty, prejudices the form of the pardon and is appealing to international organizations (as a continuation of previous appeals) asking for a vindication with the help of the UN committee for human rights”.

According to Rynkevich, Alyaksandr Kazulin has also demanded that the Belarusian authorities should pay him a moral damage compensation of 2 million euro.

“It is a symbolic sum because Kazulin is not going to make money on it”.

Alyaksandr Kazulin is going to inform about his plans for the future on Wednesday.
