Aliments to be paid even after maturity age?

The Belarus's Justice Ministry is not against proposals to introduce a provision which would set out the payment of aliments to children even after they reach maturity age, but only for the period of education, Justice Minister Viktar Halavanau said when talking with the members of parliament, reports Belta. Lawmakers believe that aliments should be paid until the child finishes his or her professional training.

This becomes especially acute in the conditions of the 12-year secondary education in Belarus, which children finish when they are 18 years old. The Ministry of Justice says this issue is under study. The proposal was earlier rejected by some governmental agencies.
