Action of solidarity with political prisoners takes place in Minsk

A traditional action of solidarity with political prisoners took place in Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk on Friday. About 60 people gathered there.
Everyone was holding portraits of political prisoners – Andrei Kim, Alyaksandr Kazulin, Syarhei Pasyukevich and portraits of disappeared civil activists: Victar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski, Yury Zaharanka and Zmitser Zavadski. One of the present was holding a transparency “Free political prisoners”.

The head of the UCP Anatol Lyabedzka, an entrepreneur Ales Taustyka, one of the leaders of “Malady Front” Zmitser Hvedaruk and participants of the case of the 14 – Ales Cahrnyshou and Mihail Pashkevich – took part in the action.

The police urged the present to leave because “the action was not allowed by the government”. However, people left only after they had been forced out by special police troops. Nobody was detained, informs “Nasha Niva”.
