Abnormal heat to remain in Belarus through early August

After a small break on August 11, a new heatwave from the territory of Russia will arrive in Belarus, Dzmitry Rabau from the National Meteo Center told Euroradio.
“Tomorrow, it will be 35C in south-western regions of Belarus. The temperature will continue climbing, reaching the peak on the weekend -- 31-37C and 39C in the south-west. The same weather will prevail early next week", he said.
The heat will reduce since August 19 but will still remain higher than normal. Only in September, thw weather will become comfortable and be in line with climate standards.
Dzmitry Rabau also warns there is a serious danger of wildfires. He calls on Belarusians to be vigilant and cautious on the weekend in order to prevent a fire crisis like in neighboring Russia.
