66 opposition candidates remain in election race

66 candidates from the United Pro-Democracy Forces (UDF) continue to take part in the parliamentary elections. 12 registered opposition candidates have pulled out of the race. Belapan reminds that UDF have allowed their candidates to take their own decision regarding the participation in the elections.

The following members of the united opposition have recently withdrawn from the race: United Civic Party -- Vasil Palyakou, Leanid Sudalenka, Alexander Dobrovolski, Valentsina Palevikova, Stanislau Bagdankevich, Hanna Yahorava, Katsiaryna Malasayeva; Popular Front -- Valer Putsitski, Stanislau Sudnik, Aliaksei Yanukevich and Tatsiana Sevyarynets and Kastus Zhukouski from the Belarusian Christian Democracy.
