20:00 Bodies of Belarusian pilots arrive in Minsk

The bodies of the Belarusian pilots and engineers, killed in a plane crash in the war-torn Somalia have arrived in the capital Minsk. An Antonov-12 cargo plane, operated by Gomelavia landed at the Minsk International Airport in the evening of March 30, according to Interfax.

On March 23, the Belarus-owned Ilyushin -76 cargo plane was shot down by an surface-to-air missile by the Islamist insurgents over the Somalian capital Mogadishu. 11 Belarusians aboard died, when the planed crashed in flames. On March 29, their bodies were evacuated by a Russian plane to the United Arab Emirates. From there, the bodies were carried by a Belarusian plane.

The Belarus's security service, KGB and the transport prosecutor's office, opened a criminal case in connection with the two accidents of the Belarusian planes in Somalia. The case is being processed under the terrorist activities article in the Penal Code of Belarus.
