15:38 New concept of energy security worked out in Belarus
A new concept of energy security has been worked out in Belarus. The vice prime-minister Uladzimir Semashka announced it at the meeting of the department of energy effectiveness of the Belarusian Government Standard Committee. He noted that the concept supposed adaptation of the economy to world prices on energy supplies.
The lion's share of the resources is used by the country’s energy sector while the amount of gas used by it is 95%.
According to Uladzimir Semashka , it is necessary “ to establish order in power engineering and to increase efficiency of stations”.
The realization of wide-scale projects at Minsk heat power plants #3, #5 and a number of other plants will make it possible to reduce expenses on fuel used for energy production, informs BelTA.
