100-metre oil patch appears after oil-pipe breakdown in Mazyr District

An oil patch with a radius of 100 meters appeared in Mazyr District after a breakdown of the “Friendship” oil-pipe. The fountain of oil was 10 meters high. The incident occurred on July 6 at 8.20 p.m. between two villages - Slabada and Ramanauka. The possible reason for the depressurization of the oil-pipe is corrosion.

The BelaPAN agency informs that the breakdown has been localized. Its exact reasons are being found out. The police are conducting a check-up in connection with it.
