Zyanon Paznyak celebrates anniversary of Belarusian independence in Warsaw

The initiative "Belarusian National Memory" organized the event in the Palace of Science and Culture.



The party started from the speech of the direct participant of the 1004 events - Chairman of the BPF deputy group in he Supreme Council of the 12th convocation Zyanon Paznyak. He told about the past events and presented his vision of the present.


In the end of the party finished several participants sang Belarusian songs.



The deputies adopted the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus on July 27, 1990, but it came into force only on August 25, 1991. Our country became independent since that day. Three weeks later, on September 19, the BSSR officially changed the name and the state symbols. Final confirmation of independence happened in December 1991, when Belavezha agreement was signed and the Soviet Union was liquidated.

Zyanon Paznyak has been in emigration since 1996, but he stays the Chairman of the Conservative Christian party of the Belarusian Popular Front, which conducts its activity in Belarus officially.
