Zaika: Our proposals to overcome crisis will be accepted sooner or later

The National Committee of the United Pro-Democracy Forces on November 3 set up a working group that will draft proposals on overcoming the consequences of the world financial crisis for Belarus. The team includes among others famous independent experts Yaraslaw Ramanchuk, Stanislaw Bahdankevich, Alexander Chubryk, Alena Rakava. They are also joined by experts from several state-owned agencies, but their names have not been revealed.  Economist Leanid Zaika, also a member of the group, notes that this team is unofficial. It has gathered the people who deal with the analysis of the economic situation.

Zaika: (The group will focus) on the development of mechanisms associated with the evaluation of the situation, in order to forecast precisely the movement of cash flows, imports and exports, the positions associated with the savings of the population and possible areas of financial breakdowns.

The proposals from the experts will be submitted to all interested parties, including the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers. Will officials listen to expert opinions? According to Zaika, there should no problem here:
