Yury Chyzh confirms his release
Yury Chyzh has confirmed his release from KGB prison. 'I am in a wonderful mood and excellent shape,' the businessman told Radio Liberty. He is going to have a rest until the end of the week and then he will decide what to do next. “I would not like to communicate with the press at the moment,” Chyzh said.
Unofficial information about the Belarusian businessman’s release on recognizance appeared on the evening of September 15, Euroradio reported. KGB refused to comment on rumours about Chyzh. He was detained on suspicion of major tax evasion in March 2016. Alyaksandr Lukashenka announced the sum of the damage done by the businessman on Sunday – $11-12 million (see the video).
