Young Belarusian weightlifter becomes world champion

Yauhen Tsikhantsou of Belarus has won gold in the weight category 102 kg at the World Weightlifting Championship, TUT.by reports. Competitions aren held in Thailand.

The 20-year-old Belarusian showed lifted 398 kg (180+218), winning a decisive advantage in the jerk.

South Korean athlete In Yunsun (397 kg, 181+216) came second while bronze went to the Iranian Mohammed Reza Barari (394 kg, 175+219).
