Yarmoshyna: The President headed for the crowd because he noticed some “stir”

Senator Mikalai Charninets thinks that a mentally ill person willing to become famous or radicals from UNA-UNSO could commit “the villainous hooliganism” on Independence Day. A deputy Syarhei Kastyan accuses some mysterious “third force” of the accident. Lidziya Yarmoshyna says that the President headed for the crowd after the explosion because he could not assess the danger of the action.
Mikalai Charhinets has two versions about the explosion on July 4. The first one – it was probably done by a mentally ill person.

Mіkalai Charhіnets: “It is quite easy to guess the plot: some retard decided to spoil the holiday.  He wanted to become famous even remaining unknown, in an insolent way, wounding people”.

According to Charhinets’s “first plot”, “the retard” is a local inhabitant. However, according to him, he has nothing to do with the Belarusian opposition. But there is another “plot”. According to it, the explosion was organized by radicals from the Ukrainian, as the senator called it, “UNA”.

Mikalai Charhinets: “I even admit that it was not our opposition. It must be foreigners like “UNO”. They taught our opposition how to do it and they studied it diligently”.

The deputy head of the Standing Commission on CIS international affaires of the House of Representatives Syarhei Kastsyan,   the official Belarusian opposition has nothing to do with the explosion.

Syarhei Kastsyan: “It was done by certain people not belonging with the opposition; they do not make any ado about it and do not claim that they are opposition members. Nobody knows their names. We do not know them. But the terrorist act proves that such people exist”.

The deputy flatly refuses to call the incident “villainous hooliganism” and to ascribe it to a mentally ill person. He says it was too professional for an ill person.

Syarhei Kastsyan: “I am sure it was done on purpose. It was impossible to bring a blasting assembly, put screw-nuts in it and to know that there will be victims without any purpose. It could have resulted in casualties. It is not hooliganism. It is a planned and timed action aimed at making the President hide, making him flee and thus causing panic among people”.

The deputy did not manage to answer what “the third force” hating the Belarusian authorities and having no connection with the Belarusian opposition was.

The head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna is also sure that the “official” (as she calls it) opposition has nothing to do with it. She thinks that the blasting assembly was probably brought by members of some unregistered radical youth grouping. However, she adds that democrats are to blame for making friends with such groupings to struggle with their common enemy – the official government.

Lіdzіya Yarmoshyna: “Our opposition is very representative. It is hard to imagine them with “pineapples”. It is impossible. But they often say that it is their young followers who organize provocations during meetings and camp in the city centre. The official opposition makes friends with such people”.

The head of the Central Election Commission says that a mentally ill person could not organize such a terrorist act. She does not exclude that the person is a foreigner.

Lіdzіya Yarmoshyna: “I think that the organizers are radical activists. But the explosion could be invented by someone else – a more artful and cruel person. They used the radical activists as a brute force without any intellect and other humane qualities”.

According to her, the authorities did not organize such “an advertising campaign” to provoke their rivals before the elections. She says that everyone would have to go crazy for it. She explained that the leader of the state entered the crowd near the spot of the explosion and was not stopped by his body guards because he did not know what was happening there.

Lіdzіya Yarmoshyna: “Nothing could be seen from his place, it could only be heard. They were unlikely to know for sure what had happened there. It could be a petard. Something was happening there, some stir, but hardly anybody could predict all the consequences and explain the situation at that moment”.

The head of the Central Election Commission says that the Belarusian President is a person body guards cannot really make do something in a dangerous situation. However, it cannot explain the fact why the Belarusian President decided to visit the place where a petard went off and “a stir” started.
