Yarmoshyna: Nothing new in desire to keep 30% current MPs in new parliament

Ярмошына: У пажаданні, каб 30% дэпутатаў былі ў новым парламенце, нічога новага

The President said that it was necessary to keep 30% of the current MPs in the new parliament during his State of the Nation Address on April 21. It is necessary so that experienced MPs could help their younger colleagues. There is nothing new in this desire and it is pronounced before every parliamentary election, CEC chairperson Lizdiya Yarmoshyna said.  It is usually possible to stick to this requirement, the CEC chairperson told Euroradio.

Lizdiya Yarmoshyna: “I think that MPs are discussing who will stay in parliament for the second or third time. The suggestions will be presented to local authorities and initiative groups will be created. Technically, there is nothing difficult in it. We just need the mentioned people to be good candidates so that the population supports them.”

The parliamentary election will be held by September 11, 2016, CEC chairperson Lidizya Yarmoshyna told Euroradio.
