Xavier cyclone made trouble in Northern Europe, approaches Belarus (photo)

Large-scale floods that haven’t been seen in Great Britain for 30 years can be observed along the coastal strip. The cyclone Xavier got stronger in the North Atlantic and is heading towards the Baltic Sea and then to Belarus and Russia across Germany and Poland. The Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands have already been affected by it.

2 people were killed by Xavier in Great Britain. A strong wind turned over a truck in Scotland and it fell upon two cars. The truck driver died.

A man was killed by a falling tree in Ratford.

Xavier will be the most destructive cyclone of the decade, German weather forecasters think. A state of emergency has been announced in Hamburg, Christmas markets have been closed. The police and rescuers are in a higher state of readiness now, Delfi reports.
