Will schoolchildren get reduced-fare benefits back?

Reduced-fare benefits may be returned to schoolchildren using public transport. The head of the educational commission of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Zdanovuch supports the idea.
As the deputy claimed in an interview with BelaPAN, the absence of reduced-fare benefits does not allow for equal opportunities for out-of-school activities.

“Not every father is able to find the money to pay for his children’s trips to out-of-school sections and circles especially if it has to be done often”, - stressed Zdanovich.

He noted that the issue of reduced-fare benefits may be mentioned in the project of the Educational Code that is being prepared to be discussed in the first reading at the autumn parliamentary session.

Let us remind you that reduced-fare benefits for schoolchildren, students and pensioners were cancelled in December 2007.
