Water tour from Orsha to Rahachou to mark Karatkevich's jubilee

A tour River Dniepr on catamarans has taken off in Orsha to mark the 80th birthday anniversary of Belarus' legendary writer Uladzimir Karatkevich. The tour will end in Ranachou where Karatkevich was born. This information was given to Euroradio by Volha Pashkovich, director of Karatkevich Museum in Orsha, when we reached her on the phone. "We are already sailing. So far, there are six of us, but more people will join later. We will have literary meetings. The first stop will be today in Lyauki where will stage the first meeting", Pashkovich said on the phone.

Apart from museum staffers, singer Andrei Melnikau and writer and translator Vital Voranau are also on catamarans. The tour will take 5 days.
