Volha Abramava: These are Lukashenka’s last elections
The current state leader will either appoint a successor or change the political system in two years, thinks the political scientist. It is connected with the exhausted emotional state, claims the former deputy of the House of Representatives. Volha Abramava has assured ERB that the next President will be somebody from the nomenclature.
Abramava: “If they announce that citizens will have to pay 100% of the cost of the communal services, you should not doubt that these are the last elections for the current state leader. Otherwise, they would not announce it. The next two years are going to be difficult for him both in the sense of the survival of the country and his personal survival in political sense”.
If the problems are solved, Lukashenka will choose his successor, thinks the political scientist. A representative of the opposition will not become the next President. It is connected with the influence of the state propaganda and the political impotence of the opposition, thinks Volha Abramava.
