Tennis: Azarenka 5 positions down in WTA rankings

Belarusian Victoria Azarenka has gone down from the 44^th to the 49^th position in the updated WTA rankings, Pressball reports. It happened after her defeat by Dominika Cibulková in the 1/8 final of the Australian Open. The match was played in three sets and was difficult for the Belarusian –2:6, 6:3, 3:6.

American Serena Williams is the World No.1 – she won in Australia. Russian Maria Sharapova and Romania  Simona Halep are in the top-3.
