Victims of Bolshevist repressions commemorated in Belarus today

A traditional commemoration of victims of Bolshevist repressions will take place in Minsk and in a number of Belarusian regions on Saturday, September 29. People will gather in the forest in Loshytsa and in Chalyuskintsau Park in Minsk at about 3 p.m. Shootings were executed there in Stalin’s time. Participants of the Commemoration Day will visit Kurapaty at about 5 p.m. People will lay flowers to the grave of the repressed and will light candles.

The civil committee on commemoration of victims of Stalin’s repressions has sent a letter to the head of KGB recently asking asked for permission to lay flowers near the walls of the former PCIA prison (now it is KGB p[prison) on the evening of September 29.
