Venezuelan authorities claim opposition prepares attempt at Maduro
Venezuelan MFA Elias Jaua has stated that opposition leaders urge the army to rebel and plan an armed intervention from a third country's territory.
According to the official, all these plans are elaborated by some "fascist groups" which control the Venezuelan opposition via economic and political instruments of power.
"The government will never let a Pinochet appear in the country," Elias Jaua has said. The official has underlined that the authorities will not hesitate if the opposition breaks the law: "This is not a game. We should protect Venezuela from the tragedy that Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Uruguay survived in the 70s," RIA Novosti quotes the Venezuelan Foreign Minister.
