U.S. State Department’s sanctions remind L.Yarmoshyna of “Stalin’s laws”

The head of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna criticized the recent decision of the US State Department according to which a number of Belarusian officials and members of their families got on the visa ban list, reports “Telegraph”. According to her, the new sanctions violate the international law and the passage about including family members on the visa ban list “resembles Stalin’s laws when even families of “public enemies” were prosecuted”.

Let us remind you that the US State Department enlarged the visa ban list of officials: deputy Ministers, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affaires and KGB whose rank is higher than that of lieutenant colonel, members of the Central Election Commission and of regional election commissions and members of regional departments of ideology were added on it.
