Uladzimir Volkau may be the detained Belneftekhim official
The deputy head of the concern was detained for bribery on October 8.
The police did not report the detained official’s name. But it may be Uladzimir Volkau, Interfax-West reports referring to a source in the oil industry. He was in charge of the oil-processing industry in the concern. He was also responsible for the export and import of oil products.
The Investigation Committee is interrogating the official about accepting bribes in February-October 2013: “There are reasons to think that the notorious solvent business has nothing to do with the case.”
The official is accused of accepting a bribe of $19 thousand. According to investigators, he received the money in February-October.
