Uladzimir Toustsik and Tamara Haraeva fail to get their licenses back

Belarusian Minister of Justice Victar Halavanau has informed this to the journalists on April 4, BelaPAN reports.

Lawyers Uladzimir Toustsik and Tamara Haraeva, who used to defend persons named in the "Dec.19 case", tried to appeal the decision of the Ministry of Justice to deprive them from lawyers' licenses. The court declined their appeals. "The decision has not come into force yet, probably, they will claim it in the higher instance court", — Halavanau has added.

He has confirmed that the Ministry of Justice received a letter from the European Bar Association with regard to revocation of some Belarusian lawyers' licenses.

"We received the letter and we will answer it. However, when we took our decision, we acted in accordance with our legislation, international legal norms and professional ethics. These lawyers committed violations", — Halavanau has said.
