UDF offers consultations about participation in election campaign to democrats

The suggestion has been made at a meeting of the Presidium of the Political Council of the United Democratic Forces today, on March 15. Its initiator, the leader of the UCP Anatol Lyabedzka, has informed ERB about it:
Lyabedzka: I have suggested that the UDF should offer urgent political consultations to the structures participating in the local election campaign and help them define the format of their participation in the election campaign.

According to the UCP leader, his party has not taken a decision about its further participation in the elections. It will be decided during a political council of the UCP on March 17 and at a party meeting on March 21.

Lyabedzka notes that they will discuss the next presidential elections rather than the coming local elections. So they have to take a serious general decision.

Lyabedzka: Firstly, political structures may decide to leave the campaign “Local Elections”. Secondly, it is an important political message for the authorities and citizens. It is not about roofs and roofing, it is a political message.

If the offers are not accepted, it will turn out that all political forces are going to take part in the elections on their own and will have to stick to the terms imposed by the authorities, thinks Anatol Lyabedzka.
