Two face embezzlement charges at Belarukaliy

Several criminal cases have been opened in connection with embezzlement at Belaruskaliy, Salihorsk-based potassium monopoly.  The chief engineer from Belgorkhimprom and a deputy director of the Teta unitary enterprise are treated as suspects in the cases.

Ezhednevnik newspaper reports that these two men abused office to steal Br635 million ($300,000) in 2004-2005. The case is investigated by the Department of Preliminary Investigation at the Interior Ministry of Belarus.
