Turkish authorities restore access to Twitter

Twitter administration has fulfilled the Turkish authorities’ demand to delete the photos of an Istanbul prosecutor with a gun put against his temple. The Turkish authorities considered it to be the propaganda of terrorism and blocked Twitter on the evening of April 6.

Twitter was unblocked a few hours later, RBK reports. Its administration agreed to delete the accounts of the users who had published the photo and deleted the pictures.

Adherents of the left-wing radical Revolutionary People's Liberation Party–Front  took prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz hostage in court. He was released after a special operation but he died of injuries later. The photo of the prosecutor with a gun put against his temple made the Turkish authorities indignant.
