Timber smuggler from Ukraine detained at Belarus border

Border guards in Pinsk detained a Ukrainian national who was trying to smuggle the trees chopped in a Belarusian forest.
The operation to smuggle the Belarusian timber was almost successful, but with just 150 meters remaining to the border, the Ukrainian was arrested by a border control patrol. He was subjected to a huge fine, while the trees, horses and carts were confiscated by the Belarusian state.

Border guards in Pinsk note that our southern neighbors routinely cross into Belarus to chop the local high-quality timber.
