Teachers are obliged to sign engagements “against corruption”

Baranavichy teachers are made to sign obligations “against corruption”. The department of education of the city Executive Committee did not only doubt that they were law-abiding citizens but also doubted they were not acquainted with the existing laws.
The paper they have to sign says: “I am not allowed to make any kind of business personally or with the help of people empowered to act for me, participate in administration of any commercial enterprise and have accounts in foreign banks”.

Teachers must confirm that they have to stop their membership in political parties. The most interesting thing is: “I have been explained that a refusal to sign the document will result in dismissal or impossibility to find a new job”.

It was also explained that violation of these commitments may be a reason for bringing to account and dismissal.
