Tacciana Niadbaj elected as Belarusian PEN center chairperson

Poetess Tacciana Niadbaj was elected the chairperson of Belarusian PEN center during the organization's general assembly on 5 November in Minsk. She replaced poet and translator Andrej Chadanovic.

Pavel Ancipau remains the first deputy chairperson. Poet and singer Uladz Liankievic and writer and translator Alena Kazlova were elected as a second and a third deputies.

Belarusian PEN unites nearly 100 authors. It is a member of the International PEN network. Among other things, national PEN centers are entitled to nominate candidates for the Nobel Literature Award.
